Blog post #20 4/23 What do you think makes a good teacher?

What do you think makes a good teacher?

I think good techniques of teaching would make a good teacher.  Teachers want their students to learn and gain more knowledge. If teacher does not try to find the right technique, the subject and purpose of learn outcome may would be poor.  Furthermore, it would not encourage students to keep engage with the class as suppose to be.  The learning would not be efficient if the class is boring.  For example, one of my mathematics teacher why we need to learn these specific algebra and how we are using these algebra in our lives. I never forget that she said we use logarithm to find the earthquakes magnitude scale. Many of my math teachers just teach me the algebra formulas but  they never explain why we learn about it.  I did not enjoy the class and not realize the purpose of those mathematics formulas. When teacher can find the connect of subject and real live to show as example, students will feel contact with the subject and more interested to learn.  Also, the outcome of learning will be more effective. My idea agree with Ms. Hassett in "What Makes A Good Teacher?" by "good teachers have a sense of purpose." (p.2)
